Artificial Olfaction

An 11‑sensor MEMS array - NO₂, ethanol, VOC, CO, smoke, formaldehyde, H₂S, ammonia, odor, methane, hydrogen - fused with time‑of‑flight and environmental sensing, driven by an ensemble of five transformer models with cross‑sensor attention. Consumable cartridge design at roughly $40 bill of materials. Built for industrial safety, quality assurance, and defense applications.

PROGRAM 02 · ACTIVE R&D

Anomaly Detection

A pseudobiological forager algorithm: a population of contextual‑bandit agents with evolutionary selection, each maintaining a counterfactual ledger. The core innovation is the Forager Gate - every real‑world action is gated by a Šidák‑corrected continuous hypothesis test. The system probes at minimum cost, accumulates evidence, and scales only when the statistical bar is cleared. The opposite of "train once, deploy blindly."

Composites & Autonomous Engineering

Invented the first production filament‑winding process for carbon fiber bicycle rims (Eurobike Award 2015), replacing manual layup with automated continuous‑tow winding. Pioneered lattice‑Boltzmann CFD for bicycle aerodynamics, and deployed a genetic‑algorithm‑driven CFD pipeline that autonomously converged on the Venn Var 77 rim profile - the first AI‑developed bicycle rim, manufactured and sold worldwide. Offered B2B as OEM technology through the Venn and Velocite brands.

FOUNDER

Viktor Major

Applied scientist working across manufacturing, computational physics, and machine learning - holding a science degree and an MBA. Inventor of the production filament‑winding process for carbon rims. Pioneer of lattice‑Boltzmann CFD for bicycle aerodynamics. Deployed autonomous AI design optimization in globally sold products. Also cofounder of Artidyn Robotics LLC, a separate company building food & beverage serving machines, beginning with robot baristas.

The common thread across every program: rigorous methods, applied to physical problems, taken all the way to shipped systems.
